Rhino UK was invited to tender for a Sensory Room and a Soft Play Room at Jakes Sensory World, located at the Netherton Activity Centre in Sefton, Merseyside. The council had appointed their own Sensory Consultant who had designed and specified the equipment for both rooms, making the tender process slightly more unique. Rhino UK won the tender due to their flexibility and ability to provide all equipment as specified.
The project was a great success! Rhino UK worked closely alongside the council’s appointed Sensory Consultant to achieve a fantastic project. What’s best is that the project was completed within the tight time schedule set, fulfilling the counsel’s specification.
Rhino UK installed an easy-to-operate, traditional Sensory Room complete with an integrated interactive floor projection system, sensory theatre area, light columns, bubble tubes, colour-changing ball pool, bespoke bench seating and wall wash lighting.
The Soft Play Room is hoist accessible and designed for inclusive, active play. Items in the room include a musical touch wall, musical squares, light tunnel network, infinity tunnels, challenge bar, soft play rockers, wall wash lighting and much more to provide a superb range of interactivity and challenges to suit a range of ages and abilities.
Jakes Sensory World uses the rooms daily, while Rhino UK continues to support the staff with additional requirements to further enhance the rooms as extra funds become available.
