World Autism Awareness Week: 7k for 700k Challenge

Did you know that 1 in every 100 people is autistic? This means that there are roughly 700,000 autistic people living in the UK.

Which is fabulous.

Individuals on the autistic spectrum bring a brilliant neurodiverse perspective to daily life, challenging typical scenarios in creative ways and providing world-changing solutions to a world dominated by neurotypical thought.

Greta Thunberg famously prescribes her determination and passion to her autism.

So, to celebrate people like Greta and the 700,000 autistic individuals in the UK, we’re taking part in the National Autistic Societies 7k for 700k Challenge!

From the 30th of March to the 5th of April, we’re going to be focusing on the number 7, and each member of the Rhino team will be getting up to an activity with that number in mind.

George might go for a 7k run each day.

Megan might bake 7 different Cheesecakes.

Sarah might do 7 different workouts.

Keren might on 7 walks.

And Jess might make 7 different Spotify Playlists for you all to enjoy.

Who knows what they all might get up to, but we know for sure that they’ll be doing it with autism awareness in mind! So be sure to check out their JustGiving page to see what they’ve been up to and how you can donate to the NAS.
