Introducing our Sensory Pods: Personal, Practical & Private
We’ve recently collaborated with Bureau Booths to create a new inclusive and accessible sensory experience, specially tailored for the higher education and workplace sectors.
Using their expertise in creating adaptive workspaces, together we’ve been able to innovate a new sensory room concept – the Sensory Pod.
What are Sensory Pods?
A Sensory Pod is an inclusive space, comfortable for one person to relax, unwind and rebalance their senses. They’re perfect for moments of over-stimulation, anxiety or panic.
Soothing lights, reduced noise, and an ambient atmosphere create an ideal environment for calming sensory systems and helping individuals rebalance and relax.
Sensory Pod Features:
- Configure Your Sensory Experience: Handpick your sensory resources from a specially selected collection chosen by our team. Popular items include LED Wall Wash, Interactive Bubble Walls, and Sensit Beanbag Chairs.
- Customisable Environment: 30+ decibel sound reduction, adjustable lighting, and cooling fans create a comfortable and personal environment.
- Accessible & Inclusive: The sensory pods are wheelchair accessible and are designed to be inclusive of everyone.
Showcase at Wagstaff Higher Education Showroom Event
To celebrate our new partnership, we showcased our Sensory Booth at Wagstaff Interiors’ Neuro-Inclusive Environments event. Hosted at their London showroom, schools, universities and civil servants came together to talk about how higher-education establishments can design inclusive spaces for neurodiverse individuals.

The Future of Sensory
Sensory-friendly design in education and workplaces is moving forward, toward integrated, inclusive environments that support neurodiverse needs without sacrificing aesthetic integrity.
There’s a growing recognition that thoughtful, human-centred design benefits everyone, improving focus, wellbeing, and overall experiences. As awareness grows, we expect to see a shift from reactive accommodations to proactive, design-led solutions that seamlessly integrate sensory regulation into the space through elements like acoustic zoning, calming visuals, and flexible layouts.
To create inclusive spaces, we believe that integration between designers, experts and neuro-divergent individuals needs to be considered throughout the process. Education & Work Spaces must embrace co-design and innovation as a new standard.
