The People’s Project who partner with the Big Lottery Fund, The National Lottery and ITV, give the public the chance to decide how National Lottery funding can make a difference in their local community.
£3 million of National Lottery funding was up for grabs to be used by 95 organisations shortlisted across the UK, one being Little Miracles in Ramsey. The charity would invest the £48,917 funding in support families with children who have disabilities and life-limiting conditions. Using sensory equipment and specialist toys, the projects aims to create a multi-sensory environment that can deliver a range of experiences for learning, stimulation, therapy and fun. The sensory space will also be for specific therapy work, including physiotherapy, speech therapy and aromatherapy.
Little Miracles were delighted to be the winner of the funding. They approached Rhino UK just 2 weeks ago asking them to design and install a Sensory Room into their children’s Centre and kit out more of the centre with soft play resources and other sensory resources, including the Omi Vista interactive projection system.
Today was the official opening of the Sensory Room, just 2 weeks after Little Miracle’s initial contact with Rhino UK!
Rhino UK went along to the official opening of the Sensory Room today. The ribbon to the room was cut by the Mayor of Ramsey, Amy from Little Miracles, and Richard, a Centre User. Local families attended and admired the new sensory resources, which would have such an amazing, positive impact on so many lives.
Rhino UK would like to thank Little Miracles for giving them the opportunity to work with them on this incredible project.
